Jammu, August 24: A preparatory meeting of senior congress leaders of Jammu Province to welcome the new PCC Chief at Jammu was held today under the Chairmanship of former Deputy Chief Minister and Senior Congress leader Sh Tara Chand. In the meeting all the senior leaders welcomed the decision of All India Congress Committee headed by Smt Sonia Gandhi, Sh Rahul Gandhi and Senior Congress leader Sh Ghulam Nabi Azad for appointing Sh Vikar Rasool Wani as President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee.
All the Senior leaders of the Party has lauded the decision of Party high Command for nominating a ground level young and dynamic leader as PCC Chief of Sensitive State of Jammu and kashmir. It was further unanimously decided in the meeting that equal representation should be given to both the provinces of Jammu and Kashmir UT. The Party leaders Urged the high Command to nominate two Working Presidents from Jammu region and two Working Presidents from Kashmir region, keeping in view the due representations to different Communities of both the region.
It was Unanimously Decided to welcome the newly appointed President at Jammu as Impressive and successful which is Scheduled to Visit on 30th of August at Jammu. All the Party Cadre included Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, NSUI, Sewa Dal, INTUC, Kissan Congress, SC and ST Department are urged to gear up for a successful and impressive welcome of newly appointed PCC Chief at Jammu.
