Reasi, 08-03-2024 : JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla asserted today that the INDIA alliance is poised to secure victory in all six Lok Sabha seats across the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Speaking at a public gathering in Reasi, Bhalla urged party workers to prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized Congress’s commitment to Hindu-Muslim unity and religious harmony as pillars of peace and prosperity in the nation.
Highlighting concerns over record unemployment, soaring prices, and what he deemed as the erosion of democracy in Jammu and Kashmir, Bhalla criticized the BJP government for its perceived failures. He cited the revocation of statehood, land rights, and job opportunities, along with the neglect of daily wage laborers and the suspension of social welfare programs, as evidence of the government’s anti-people stance.
Expressing unwavering confidence in the INDIA alliance’s prospects, Bhalla predicted victories across the region’s two seats in the Jammu region, three in the Kashmir valley, and one in Ladakh. Stressing the significance of Jammu and Kashmir’s strategic and secular character, he emphasized the state’s importance despite its relatively small representation in Parliament and the assembly.
Bhalla further outlined Congress’s pivotal role in shaping the political landscape, asserting that no government could be formed without the support of the secular and democratic party. He criticized what he perceived as the ruling party’s divisive politics and assured that Congress, alongside like-minded parties, would strengthen to form a government that prioritizes the welfare of all citizens.
