BADC Chairman citing the poor hygiene facilities there in Mendhar town also highlighted the issue of choked drains and unplanned disposal of solid, liquid and other harmful wastes.

He said as the Mendhar is house to a huge population thus it is imperative that all the political parties join hands and contribute their efforts in the establishment of a municipal body in the border town before elections to provide a sigh of relief to the residents. Dr Shazad has been demanding a municipality for Mendhar and during last over a decade  has submitted dozens of representations and memorandums to senior officers and government functionaries.
