11-04-2023 : On Tuesday, the Union Health Ministry of India released data showing 5,676 new COVID-19 infections and a total of 37,093 active cases. The death toll has risen to 5,31,000 with 21 new fatalities, including three in Delhi, Punjab, and Rajasthan, two in Karnataka, and one each in Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. Six deaths in Kerala were also reconciled. As of 8 am, the total number of COVID-19 cases in India was 4.47 crore (4,47,68,172), with active cases accounting for 0.08% of the total.
The national COVID-19 recovery rate has been reported as 98.73%, and the number of individuals who have recovered from the virus has increased to 4,42,00,079. The case fatality rate was recorded at 1.19%. Additionally, the ministry website states that 220.66 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered throughout India under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
