‘Dan Da Dan’ Season 3 Confirmed, Will Continue Adapting Popular Manga

Hit anime based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga will continue thrilling fans with ghosts, aliens, and supernatural adventures

Mumbai, Dec 22 : Fans of ‘Dan Da Dan’ finally have something to look forward to: the hit anime has been officially renewed for Season 3, which is slated to premiere in 2027. The announcement was made by animation studio Science Saru during Jump Festa 2026 on December 21, alongside a brand new key visual.

A look back at Seasons 1 and 2
The series first premiered in October 2024, running until December, followed by Season 2 from July to September 2025. Based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s popular manga, which releases new chapters every Tuesday on Shonen Jump+, the story has sold over 12 million copies. Fans are drawn to its fast paced storytelling, bold art style, and unpredictable plot twists.

Ghosts vs Aliens: The central story
At the heart of ‘Dan Da Dan’ are two teenagers with very different worldviews. Momo (voiced by Shion Wakayama) comes from a family of spiritual mediums and believes in ghosts, while Okarun (voiced by Natsuki Hanae) is obsessed with aliens and the occult.

After a chance encounter, their playful argument turns serious, leading them into an abandoned hospital and a haunted tunnel, where they encounter real supernatural beings. Momo awakens her spiritual powers, while Okarun gains cursed abilities, propelling them into a world of chaos, adventure, and laughter.

Big names behind the scenes
The anime is co-produced by Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS), known for hits like Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Akira. Science Saru, responsible for acclaimed works such as Devilman Crybaby, Inu-Oh, and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, is also preparing new shows for 2026, including The Ghost in the Shell and Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia.

With Season 3 confirmed, fans can expect more thrilling supernatural adventures, comedy, and unforgettable characters in the world of ‘Dan Da Dan’.
