POONCH, AUGUST 04: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today held a public grievance redress camp, here at border block Balakote under the weekly Block Diwas program.
The programme was organized by the RDD department and attended by PRI members and a large number of people from the adjoining areas. They raised various issues including, Ambulance and female doctor for PHC Balakote, up-gradation of High School Sandote, uninterrupted supply of power and water, opening of Girls Higher Secondary School for Border belt of Balakote, compensation for crops destroyed due to rain, renovation of school buildings destroyed by shelling, starting of work on already sanctioned Dharati receiving station, construction of bunkers, Completion of all ongoing PHE schemes, renovation of PHC Sandote, Compensation or job for those whose lands have been acquired to construct PHE Tanks, to make Balakote a Sub Division and various other development related issues were discussed.
Responding to the demands, the DDC assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time-bound manner. He directed the officers to work in coordination so that equitable development of all panchayat is ensured in the district.
The concerned officers also addressed the public and assured of redressing the same at the earliest.
