UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 25: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today reviewed the regulation of Brick Kilns here at a meeting of all stakeholder departments and brick kiln owners.
The meeting discussed the renewal of Brickkiln licenses and the fixation of rates of bricks in the District Udhampur.
At the outset, president brick kiln Association Ravi Malgoria apprised Deputy Commissioner Udhampur regarding the problems being faced by them in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner assured him that all the genuine demands of brick kilns will be considered under the norms of new brick kiln rules.
The DC issued directions to all concerned departments to process the cases of brick kiln license as per new SRO – 138 issued by the Department of Mining J&K on a priority basis.
The Chief Agriculture Officer and Tehsildar Udhampur were asked to visit each brick kiln and submit a detailed report regarding the land being utilized and also furnish the latest revenue papers.
Additional Deputy Commissioner was asked to conduct a preliminary meeting for fixation of rates of bricks soon.
