DDC Chairperson Udhampur reviews progress of development works at Council meeting  

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 02: To take the stock of the ongoing developmental works undertaken by different departments in the district,  today the District Development Council, Chairperson Udhampur Lal Chand chaired the District Councils meeting attended by The DDC Vice-Chairperson, Juhi Manhas Pathania, BDCs, DDCs and District officers.

The meeting reviewed the progress of ongoing developmental works under District Capex budget 2020-21 and the implementation of employment and other schemes.

Threadbare discussion was held on various issues which includes a review of capex budget 2021-22, awareness on SVAMITVA and land record information system, formulation of next year plan under capex budget 2022-23, IEC on Jal Jeevan Mission, Janta ki Scheme Janta ki Bhaagidari, etc were discussed in detail.

  Additional District Development Commissioner, Kanta Devi,   ACR, Viqar Giri, ACD, Mushtaq Chowdhary all BDOs, and other officers attended the meeting.

 At the outset, the ADDC Udhampur presented welcome address and gave a sector-wise detailed PowerPoint presentation about the physical and financial progress achieved of ongoing developmental works being executed by PHE, PWD, PDD, Health, PMGSY, Forest, Education, JKEDA,  Groundwater, YSS and Handloom.

 While reviewing the sector-wise progress,   the DDC Chairperson exhorted upon the executing agencies to speed up the pace of work of all developmental projects and schemes and ensure their completion within the stipulated time frame.

Directions were issued to RDD to expedite tendering of works and ensure desired quality and progress of the works in rural areas. The Chairperson exhorted upon the officers to maintain transparency and accountability in all the works being executed in the RDD sector and other sectors in the District.

During the meeting, BDCs and DDCs raised several issues regarding PDD, PHE, Forest, Education. The Chairman directed the concerned to redress the issues.
