DDC Election 2020: Training for polling staff held at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 05: Training for polling staff for District Development Council elections and Panchayat – By-Election was today held here.

District Election Authority Udhampur conducted the hands-on training for polling parties phase -v under the overall supervision of District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO), Dr. Piyush Singla at Conference Hall DC Office Complex Udhampur.

Around 300 polling and presiding officers were trained by the Master Trainers for carrying out smooth conduct of the DDC & Panchayat -By-election.

During the training session, the District level master trainers, Mohammad Latief and Brijesh Kumar gave demonstrations on the handling of ballot boxes, counting of votes, and other election processes.

General Observer, Shiv Kumar Gupta, also interacted with the polling staff and asked them to perform their duties with utmost dedication and zeal.

At the outset, ADDC, Ashok Kumar who is also nodal officer MCC, briefed the General Observer about the basic minimum facilities at polling stations, expenditure monitoring cell, training of polling personnel, appointment and training of sectoral and zonal officers, randomization of polling personnel and other aspects of the conduct of elections in the District.  He also exhorted upon the nodal officers to maintain the record of MCC violations and other guidelines of the State Election Commission in letter and spirit.

Among others, Deputy District Election Officer, Dr. Shavi and other officers of concerned departments besides polling staff were present on the occasion.
