KATHUA, NOVEMBER 02:- District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Om Parkash Bhagat today convened a meeting of concerned officers and bankers to review the implementation of various self-employment schemes in the district.
The meeting was informed that under REGP scheme Rs 1.16 crore margin money has been released to 57 entrepreneurs during 2019-20, whereas 45 cases have been taken up for the current financial year.
Under PMEGP 126 cases were sanctioned in 2019-20 for which a Rs 3.38 crore loan was sanctioned for the installation of self-employment units. In the current fiscal 34 cases has been sanctioned for which Rs 91.18 lakh has been sanctioned to the applicants.
The DDC also reviewed progress achieved for generating self-employment avenues under different schemes including MSME and DLRC during the meeting.
The DDC stressed the line departments and bankers to achieve targets within the stipulated time. He further directed concerned officers to organize awareness drives to educate and encourage unemployed youth to avail of the benefits of self-employment schemes to become self-reliant.
While reviewing the progress of self-employment cases received under B2V3 and My Town My Pride, the DDC directed officers for submitting the action taken report to his office from time to time.
Among others, the meeting was attended by CPO, Uttam Singh, GM DIC Babu Ram, Lead District Manager, Bankers, and other concerned.
