RAJOURI, MARCH 11: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to review the progress on restoration work on water bodies carried out under MGNREGA in the district.
During the meeting, the DDC sought a detailed report from the concerned officers about the progress achieved concerning the repair and renovation of the water bodies so far who in turn briefed about the same.
Threadbare discussion was also held regarding the restoration of water bodies identified by the NGT, CPCB and other agencies.
The meeting was informed that the Department of soil conservation has renovated 08 water bodies, while RDD has restored around 1700 water bodies.
It was further informed that the work on the rest of the water bodies is in progress and will be completed in the coming days.
The DDC also directed the concerned officers to expedite the progress and submit the list of water bodies restored till date all with the coordinates. He further directed to submit the statement of expenditure incurred on restoration of water bodies. .
The meeting was attended by ADC, Sachin Dev Singh, DFO, Dr Arshdeep Singh, CPO, Mohd Khurshid, ACD, Vijay Verma, District Soil Conservation officer and other concerned Officers.
