New Delhi, Dec 23: Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) faced significant travel disruptions on Tuesday, with at least 10 flights cancelled and over 270 delayed due to dense fog and low visibility conditions.
According to airport authorities, six arrivals and four departures were cancelled for the day. Flight tracking data from Flightradar24 shows that the average delay for departures is around 29 minutes.
“Visibility at the airport is improving; however, flight departures for certain destinations may still experience delays,” Delhi Airport operator DIAL posted on X.
IGIA, one of India’s busiest airports, handles approximately 1,300 flight movements daily, making such weather-related disruptions particularly impactful for passengers and airlines.
