New Delhi, Feb 16 : Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta extended her heartfelt greetings to Delhi Police personnel on the occasion of their 79th Raising Day. She praised the force as a symbol of safety and trust for every resident of the capital and congratulated all officers, jawans, and their families for their unwavering commitment.
In a social media post on X, the CM lauded Delhi Police for upholding their motto of ‘Shanti, Seva, Nyay’ (Peace, Service, Justice) and commended their courage and dedication in handling challenging situations. “Your steadfast commitment to duty and tireless hard work in service of the people is a matter of immense pride for all of us. The entire Delhi bows to this unparalleled spirit of service from the heart,” she wrote.
79th Raising Day Highlights
The celebrations were marked by a ceremonial parade attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the chief guest. The event showcased the best marching contingents, SWAT teams, dog squads, motorcycle units, band teams, PCR units, and other specialised formations. Senior officers and personnel participated in the event, reflecting the force’s coordination and discipline.
Home Minister Amit Shah also took to social media, praising the Delhi Police for their exemplary service and paying tribute to martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
