Jammu, May 27: In a significant administrative development, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has formally relieved six Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers from their duties in the national capital, paving the way for their new assignments in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The move follows transfer orders issued earlier this month by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
According to official communications, the officers belong to the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories) cadre, and have been instructed to report to their respective posts in Jammu and Kashmir no later than May 30, 2025.

Anil Kumar Singh, a senior officer from the 1995 batch, known for his extensive experience in public administration and governance.

Naveen S L, from the 2012 batch, who has held key responsibilities in Delhi’s municipal and revenue sectors.

Gurpal Singh, an officer of the 2014 batch, with a track record in infrastructure and urban development projects.

Shreya Singhal, from the 2020 batch, recognized for her policy work and administrative acumen in the health and education departments.

Mahima Madan and Ananth Dwivedi, both from the 2021 batch, have served in junior administrative roles and are now poised to take up fresh responsibilities in Jammu and Kashmir’s evolving bureaucratic framework.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had issued the transfer orders in two phases—on May 5 and May 16, 2025—as part of routine administrative reshuffles to strengthen governance across the Union Territories under the AGMUT cadre. The relocation of these officers is expected to support various development and administrative initiatives currently underway in Jammu and Kashmir, especially amid efforts to streamline governance and ensure efficient public service delivery in the region.
