Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is heading back to theatres across the United States and Canada, with Sony Pictures Entertainment confirming a fresh run beginning Friday, March 6.
The anime spectacle originally premiered in North America on September 12, 2025, offering audiences the choice between original Japanese audio with subtitles and a full English dub. The upcoming re-release will again cater to both viewing preferences.
For the first time, the film will also be screened in SCREENX, a 270-degree panoramic format designed to expand action sequences beyond the central screen. The immersive presentation aims to intensify the climactic confrontations inside the Infinity Castle, placing viewers amid the chaos as the Demon Slayer Corps battles Upper Rank demons.
Story revisits the ultimate showdown
The narrative follows Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko and the Hashira as they enter the ominous fortress to confront powerful adversaries and ultimately face the demon king, Muzan Kibutsuji. The R-rated finale delivers high-stakes combat, emotional stakes and visually striking animation that have defined the franchise’s global appeal.
Box office success and awards recognition
Since its Japanese debut on July 18, 2025, the film has amassed approximately $644.4 million internationally. Combined with $134.5 million from its earlier North American run, worldwide earnings stand at about $778.9 million, underscoring its massive commercial draw.
Although it did not secure an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature, the movie received recognition from the Golden Globe Awards and the Producers Guild of America in their respective animated feature categories.
With its renewed theatrical rollout and expanded viewing format, the franchise’s climactic chapter is poised to attract both returning fans and newcomers eager to witness the epic finale on the big screen.
