Deputy CM Eknath Shinde Visits Hospital to Inquire About Sanjay Raut’s Health

Mumbai, Nov 12: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday reached out to inquire about the health of Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) leader and Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut, who was recently discharged from Fortis Hospital in Mulund after treatment for a drop in white blood cell count.

According to officials, Shinde personally called Sanjay Raut’s brother, Sunil Raut, to check on the MP’s health and recovery progress. The conversation was shared publicly in a video posted by Minister Uday Samant, a Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader, on social media platform X.

“The popular Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Eknath Shinde Saheb, called Sunil Raut, brother of MP Sanjay Raut, to inquire in detail about his health. Saheb’s compassion and affection toward everyone are what truly define his personality,” Samant wrote in his post.

In the video, Shinde can be heard conveying his good wishes, saying, “Tell him to get well soon.”

Sanjay Raut, who had been under medical supervision for several days, was discharged earlier this week and is reported to be recovering well at home.

The gesture from the Deputy CM, who leads the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), comes amid continued political differences between the two camps but underscores a message of personal goodwill.
