Aligarh, Sep 23: BJP MP Rajya Sabha Gulam Ali Khatana, today received a rousing reception at Aligarh where various organizations facilitated him including management and staff of Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University.
Prof. Badrud Duja congratulated Shri Khatana on being elected as an AMU court member and shed light at the history of the college and enumerated numerous achievements that it has realised over years since its inception.
Speaking on the occasion, Gulam Ali urged the audience to develop a positive and forward-looking attitude. He further emphasized on the significance of having concrete and long term strategies to achieve goals in various fields concerning humans. He assured the Principal and attending faculties and students to look into their issues in the best possible manner. A large group of students met Shri Gulam Ali and shared with him their visions in their lives in addition to sharing their common problems.
Gulam Ali Khatana underscored the importance of the participation of minorities in the mainstream adding that the Bharatiya Janata Party is ensuring rounded and inclusive development of all without any discrimination. He urged the gathering to be aware of the politics in the country and cautioned them not to fall victim of the vote-bank politics. He said that we should develop positive approach and live our lives with clear vision. He added saying that the minorities should not fall to jingoism of parties which exploited them as vote banks only and kept them at bay from development and progress. He called upon the gathering to become a part of the development and the vision that has been envisaged by the Hon’ble PM. He reiterated on the message of PM that the children of minorities should have in one hand Quran and in the other hand scientific gadgets. He further encouraged the gathering on making sure that their children must get an education. To this end, he said that the Prophet Mohammad urged everyone to seek knowledge even if one has to go to china (a reference to the farthest distance). He mentioned a plethora of reasons as to why the Muslim community has been lagging behind in the field of education. He ascribed the reason largely to the vote-bank politics that different parties over the last seventy years adopted vis-a-vis minorities, especially Muslims.
AH Trading a socio-business organisation led by Mohd Mohsin organised a welcome ceremony at Imperial Plaza, Jamalpur, Aligarh in the honour of Rajya Sabha MP Shri Gulam Ali Khatana. The program was compered by the social activist Farrukh. The program witnessed a hugely swelled gathering comprised of the general public, students, the business community and traders. The program was followed by the inauguration of the AH Trading office situated at the Imperial Plaza complex.
