JAMMU, Nov 14: Devyani Rana of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a sweeping victory in the Nagrota assembly constituency, according to the official results released by the Election Commission of India.
Rana emerged far ahead of her competitors by garnering 42,183 votes, defeating her nearest rival, Harsh Dev Singh of the Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party, who managed 17,661 votes. Shamim Begum of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference followed with 10,834 votes, while independent candidate Anil Sharma received 837 votes.
With a commanding victory margin of 24,522 votes, Rana’s win marks a significant achievement for the BJP in the Nagrota region. The Election Commission confirmed the final outcome after the completion of all 11 rounds of counting.
