Srinagar, September 13 (HS) Jammu and Kashmir Police has time and again proved itself by tackling multiple challenges and we need to continue working in this direction with a positive approach to deal with challenges in the future also, said Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh during his visit to Udhampur and Kishtwar districts on Sunday. He chaired officers’ meetings to review the security scenario, law & order, crime cases. He inaugurated Aman Memorial, Open Air Gymnasium, Model Naka & Conference Hall in Kishtwar.
Chairing the officers meeting in District Police Lines Udhampur the DGP said that the enthusiasm of working with devotion and dedication in the right direction for the peace in the Union Territory, for the people, and for the welfare of our jawans must continue with more energy in future also. He directed the officers to prepare teams to trace absconders. Discussing crime cases, the DGP directed the officers to take stringent action against criminals and added that those involved in drug abuse should be booked under PSA. He also directed supervisory officers to ensure effective supervision for quality investigation. He said that to secure the future of youth and the safety of women necessary measures need to be strengthened. The DGP appreciated the role played by all ranks of the department to contain the spread of Coronavirus and the efforts put in to work tirelessly in dealing with all challenges despite the threat posed by the COVID-19 to humanity.
