UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER 16: District Hospital Udhampur today organised a screening cum awareness camp to observe World Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Day.
The event was held under the direction of Director General Family Welfare and Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Saleem Ur Rehman and under the Supervision of Chief Medical Officer, Dr Vijay Basnotra and Medical Superintendent, Dr Sanjay Kumar Bhat.
A one day camp was organized in the NCD block of District Hospital, Udhampur. About 30 COPD patients were attended and their Spirometry was done to assess their Lung Functions and capacity by Dr Vinod Gupta, Consultant Physician. They were counselled for cessation of Tobacco dependence by Amrita Thakur, Clinical Psychologist.
