New Delhi, Jan 24 : Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan participated in the Shatabdi Path Sanchalan programme organized by the Sambalpur Metropolitan unit of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as part of its centenary year celebrations.
Taking to X, Pradhan highlighted the significance of remembering national heroes. “I attended the birth anniversary celebrations of Veer Surendra Sai and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose organized by Navbhas and Kanak News in Sambalpur and launched the special edition of ‘Jugar’ dedicated to these two great heroes. Their sacrifices and heroic deeds will continue to inspire the younger generation,” he said.
Pradhan emphasized the importance of societal development alongside commemorating historical figures. “As we work toward a developed Odisha by 2036 and a developed India by 2047, maintaining a healthy and well organized society must be a priority. Protecting the environment, guiding the youth, ensuring the health of mothers and children, and promoting our mother tongue are crucial. Only then will the sacrifices of leaders like Veer Surendra Sai and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose hold true meaning,” he added.
Drawing parallels to Mahatma Gandhi’s vision, the minister called for fostering responsibility and social reform, noting, “Just as Gandhi turned cleanliness into a mass movement, we must create an atmosphere of accountability and service for humanity.”
The programme marks a key event in the RSS centenary celebrations, emphasizing cultural awareness, social responsibility, and national pride.
