JAMMU, JUNE 26: Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu, Krishan Lal conducted an extensive tour of District Reasi and inspected the office of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Bharakh, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Pouni, Sheep Extension Center Talwara, and Government Sheep Breeding Farm, Reasi/Duggala.
During the inspection, he took stock of the working of the offices and asked the officers/officials to work with a missionary zeal so that Sheep/Goat breeders of the areas get the benefit of the schemes undertaken by the department.
The Director also inspected the Veterinary dispensary (Sheep Extension Center) building at Pora Kotla Ramsoo District Reasi being constructed under the Languishing Project.
The Director said that the department has a major role in the development of the small ruminants sector to upgrade the socio-economic status of rural masses of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. He asked the officers to aware the people about income-generating and beneficiary-oriented schemes launched by the UT Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
