Expressing a desire for an in-depth review meeting specifically for the Tawi Riverfront Development Project, the Div Com urged officials to resolve bottlenecks through regular stakeholder meetings.
The sustainability, maintenance, and regulation of projects completed under the Smart City Mission, such as the Integrated Command Control Centre, Integrated Traffic Management System, and eBuses, were also on the agenda. The Div Com inquired about the functionality of smart classes in schools constructed under JSCL, emphasizing the importance of technological integration in the education sector.
Additionally, the meeting assessed the progress of other JSCL initiatives, including the Heritage Trail from Mubarak Mandi Complex to Raghunath Nazar. The Divisional Commissioner urged officials to monitor progress actively, hold regular stakeholder meetings, and expedite the resolution of any identified bottlenecks.
The attendees included key officials from ADC Jammu, VC JDA, Director of Archives, Archaeology and Museum, SSP Traffic Jammu, and representatives from JSCL, PWD, Tourism, Education, Irrigation and Flood Control, and other concerned departments. The meeting showcased a comprehensive review of ongoing projects and a commitment to overcoming challenges for the successful realization of the Smart City vision in Jammu.
