MUMBAI, Dec 15: Bollywood actress Divya Dutta recently shared a nostalgic glimpse of her childhood through a heartwarming photograph that instantly tugged at fans’ heartstrings. In the image, a young Divya smiles in a cozy knitted sweater, wearing a beaded necklace and holding a doll gifted by her father.
On Instagram, she wrote, “Meeting my childhood felt good. Found this picture… It felt like yesterday when I held this doll my dad got for me. A little bit of that girl still lives inside me.”
At 48, Divya continues to stay busy across films and web series. She recently appeared in Chhaava, a historical drama based on Sambhaji, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire, alongside Vicky Kaushal, Akshaye Khanna, and Rashmika Mandanna. In the digital space, she starred in the web series Mayasabha: Rise of the Titans, exploring Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape from the 1970s to the 1990s, alongside Aadhi Pinisetty, Chaitanya Rao, Sai Kumar, and Nassar.
Divya made her Bollywood debut in 1994 with Ishq Mein Jeena Ishq Mein Marna, followed by a lead role in Veergati (1995). She gained critical acclaim for her performance in Shaheed-e-Mohabbat Boota Singh (1999) and has since delivered memorable roles in films like Veer-Zaara, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Delhi-6, Stanley Ka Dabba, Heroine, and Badlapur.
Her portrayal of Milkha Singh’s sister in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) and her National Film Award-winning performance in Irada solidified her reputation as one of Bollywood’s versatile actors, capable of bringing depth and authenticity to every role.
