DPAP Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad assures development revolution in J&K if party comes to power

03-05-2023 : Ghulam Nabi Azad, the Chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), visited the Aru, Pahalgam valley in South Kashmir on Wednesday and met with various delegations. The delegations included Ponywallas, travel agents, hotel associations, tourist guides, and party workers who shared their grievances with Azad. The Ponywallas sought Azad’s intervention to urge the government to allow them to set up tents during the Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage alongside the route. They emphasized that their livelihoods solely depend on the pilgrimage, and they deserve proper accommodation to earn for their families.

In response, Azad assured the delegations that their grievances would be addressed, and DPAP would ensure that no one is forced to run from pillar to post to seek solutions to their problems if his party comes to power. He said that DPAP is committed to serving the people and imbibing a culture where party leaders would visit villages and people themselves instead of people approaching them in their offices. Azad expressed his dismay over the delay in the construction of a hospital in the Pahalgam constituency, which has caused significant suffering to people.

Furthermore, Azad stated that his party is working to change the mindset of people in politics who believe that they are above the common people. He emphasized that they are public representatives meant to serve people, and his party leaders would visit people in their own homes and villages. Azad also listened to the delegations’ concerns about the cellular network issues in the region and pledged to work towards resolving their genuine problems and issues.

In his closing remarks, Azad promised that once his party comes to power, he will bring a revolution of development across the Union Territory. He further added that all the people from both regions would be part of this process, and avenues and opportunities would be created to benefit the common people. Azad was accompanied by Vice Chairman G.M. Saroori, Provincial President Amin Bhatt, Zonal President Gulzar Wani, DDC Chairman Mohd Yousef Gorsi, Salman Nizami Chief Spokesperson, Ex Advisor CM Adv Manzoor Ganai, Adv Saleem Parray DDC, Waseem Yaqoob Spokesperson, Obair Mushtaq Social media Incharge, and others.
