UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER, 08: The poll arrangements for District Development Council & Panchayat by-election phase-V in DDC constituencies of Block Majalta and Khoon were today inspected by District Panchayat Election Officer Dr. Piyush Singla along with officers of concerned departments during an extensive tour of the twin areas.
During the tour, the DPEO inspected several polling stations and took reviews related to security, AMF arrangement, MCC enforcement, took a ground assessment of facilities, Status of law and order, and availability of amenities required for the conduct of free, fair, and transparent election in these blocks. He directed the officers to stay vigilant and alert to ensure free, fair, and smooth conduct of the election process.
The DPEO stressed close coordination among the departments for the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct in letter and spirit.
Dr. Singla appealed to the people of these blocks to come out in large numbers to cast their votes for strengthening grass-root democracy. Dr. Singla also urged the general public to wear face masks, maintain social distancing and follow COVID-19 SOPs during the election process
