Srinagar, 07 Aug: The Forum for Human Rights in Jammu and Kashmir, led by Radha Kumar, Kapil Kak Friday presented its annual report, “Seven Years Under Union Rule – With a Special Section on Ladakh & Pakistan-held Territories of Jammu and Kashmir (August 2025–July 2026),” to Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.
The presentation was attended by the Party’s General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, several legislators, in-charges of various parent and youth wings, members of the media and other party office bearers.
During the interaction, the members of the Forum gave a detailed presentation on the key findings and observations over the last seven years contained in the report, highlighting issues, concerns across Jammu and Kashmir. The occasion also witnessed an in-depth exchange of views between the Forum members and the party’s legislators and office bearers on issues relating to governance, democratic institutions, human rights, and the overall socio-political situation in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Farooq Abdullah thanked the members of the Forum for presenting the report and appreciated their efforts in documenting developments in the region. He said the National Conference would study the report in detail, adding that such independent reports play an important role in presenting objective and unbiased findings, thereby contributing meaningfully to informed public discourse.
