Srinagar, 26 June: The President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Dr. Farooq Abdullah paid obeisance at the revered Ziyarat Sharief Hazrat Khawaja Habibullah Nowshehri Hubbi (RA) following the annual Urs observed at his shrine in Nowshahar, Srinagar.
Accompanied by CI Zadibal and Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Dr. Farooq led prayers seeking abundant provisions and blessings for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He later addressed the devotees, expressing hope and prayers for increased peace and prosperity in the region.
“Hazrat Nowshehri (RA) was a great mystic and a significant writer. He was among the star-studded Sufi masters of Kashmir, shaping the socio-cultural milieu with teachings of compassion, harmony, and universal brotherhood. Hazrat Nowshehri (RA) is remembered for his profound knowledge of theology and spirituality,” Dr. Farooq said.
“He was dedicated to community service and social empowerment. On this revered Urs observance, I offer my humble tributes and pray that this auspicious day brings peace and prosperity to J&K.”
Dr. Farooq Abdullah also emphasized the importance of Hazrat Nowshehri’s teachings and the potential for positive change in the region through unity and spiritual enlightenment.
