Dr.  Pandita delivers a lecture on ‘role of foreign funding in abetting terrorism’ at SKPA Udhmapur

UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 27: On the invitation of Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy, Udhampur (SKPA), Dr. Daleep Pandita delivered a comprehensive lecture through PowerPoint presentation, on the role of foreign funding to the Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) that is used for abetting terrorist activities in India with special reference to Jammu and Kashmir, here today at   SKPA campus.

About 30 officers of the ranks of  Dy SP to SSP of Jammu and Kashmir Police attended the lecture held as part of an ongoing three-day vertical interaction course on terrorism and counter-insurgency at SKPA.

 Based on his vast experience and international exposure, Dr. Pandita deliberated upon the modus operandi used by such illegal promoters and explained in depth how these unlawful operations are being carried out by misusing financial transitions.

The main focus of the lecture was the role of banking and financial institutions in checking money laundering that is abetting terrorist activities in J&K due to unauthorized financial transitions in order to evolve a comprehensive strategy in dealing with the counterinsurgency in J & K.

The lecture on such an important topic concerning public safety and security by tackling counter-insurgency and containing the growing menace of terrorism sponsored from across the border was highly appreciated by the participants of the J & K Police force.
