NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi has revised its postgraduate History syllabus, removing the paper on the Delhi Sultanate from the third semester, according to reports published on Friday.
The curriculum revision also involves changes to several other courses that have been part of the university’s History programme for years. The move has drawn attention because of the academic and historical significance of the subjects being removed.
The revised syllabus is expected to shape the course structure followed by students pursuing postgraduate studies in History across the university and its affiliated colleges.
Curriculum changes in higher education are generally aimed at updating academic content, introducing new areas of study and aligning programmes with evolving research and teaching requirements.
