JAMMU, AUG 1: Senior BJP leader and former Minister, Bali Bhagat held the dynastic National Conference (NC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and Congress accountable for the deaths of over 40,000 people in Jammu and Kashmir.
Highlighting the dismal track record of the past 27 years, Bhagat criticized the Chief Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, stating that they were the worst in terms of handling law and order in India. He further emphasized that the “Three families” – Abdullahs, Gandhis, and Muftis – have dominated Kashmir for the past 70 years and are directly responsible for the deaths of 42,000 individuals in the state due to terrorism since the inception of militancy in 1990.
The senior BJP leader strongly believed that these dynastic parties have colluded with Pakistan and terrorists, with the intention of disintegrating Kashmir from India. However, he applauded the efforts of the PM Modi government in effectively combating terrorism, which has shattered the dreams of these families.
Bali Bhagat also raised questions about the treatment of Kashmiri Hindus, who were forced to leave their homes in Kashmir. He called upon the three families, who are now advocating for Manipur, to acknowledge the atrocities committed against Hindu women, the burning of Kashmiri Pandit homes, and the looting of their properties. He emphasized that these families are responsible for the burial of hundreds of youths in graveyards, which are now an unfortunate reality in Kashmir and other Muslim-dominated areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
Furthermore, the former minister accused these families of perpetuating religious animosity and extremism among Kashmiri Muslim youth in the name of Islam and Jihad. He labelled them as experts in fundamentalism and extremism, spreading a venomous narrative that tarnishes the reputation of India globally. He pointed out that despite being in power, the Congress Party failed to address the issue of fundamentalism and radicalization, resulting in the displacement of lakhs of Hindus from Kashmir.
Bali Bhagat urged these communal and sinful parties to apologize to the nation for their actions before speaking about Manipur. “These dynastic parties should take responsibility for their past actions and work towards building a better future for Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
