Education Reforms Expand Skill-Based Learning Across Schools

NEW DELHI, May 9, 2026: Educational institutions across India are preparing to implement expanded skill based learning programmes under revised academic reforms aimed at improving employability and practical knowledge among students.

The updated framework introduces coding, artificial intelligence awareness, vocational training and financial literacy modules at school level. Education experts believe the reforms could better align academic learning with future job market demands.

Officials from the Education Ministry stated that teacher training programmes are also being upgraded to support digital classrooms and experiential learning methods. Several states have already begun pilot projects integrating technology driven education tools.

Parents and industry leaders welcomed the reforms, saying they could help bridge the gap between theoretical studies and workplace requirements.
