Empowering the Community: Learning about Cyber Bank Frauds and Social Media Crimes

Jammu, 05-07-2023: Cyber awareness divas(cyber Jaagrookta divas) was celebrated on 5th July 2023 at Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj Bahu Fort, Jammu on the direction of in charge cyber police station Jammu S P Kameshwar Puri and DySP Smt Anubhuti cyber police station Jammu.

 Mohd Shabir Sub Inspector and Sh Rakesh Kumar Sub Inspector from Cyber Police Station Jammu delivered lectures on cyber bank frauds and social media cyber crimes.

 Sub-inspector Mohd Shabir delivered a detailed lecture on cyberbank fraud. Bank frauds are increasing day by day and common people are trapped in this network

This was informed by the team from Cyber Police Station Jammu that cyber Jaagrookta divas is celebrated on the first Wednesday of every month. Sub-inspector Sh Rakesh Kumar delivered a lecture on cyber crimes on social media such as hacking of Ids and sextortion. He said that if someone withdraws money fraudulently then the Internet should be stopped immediately and the matter should be reported to the nearest police station or a cyber police station. In this way, further transactions will be stopped.

While addressing the gathering Sham lal Basson corporator ward no 48 Bahu Fort Jammu said that cyber crime is increasing day by day and we have to be aware. He told that fake calls should not be attended at any cost and do not send your documents to and strange person. Fraudulent persons often ask for a part-time job or call for courier service. One has to be vigilant for such types of calls. He thanked the team from Cyber Police Station Jammu for sharing very important information about cyber frauds /crimes.

Prominent persons who attended the awareness camp included Sh Chander Kumar Gupta Sham lal Kalsi, Hans Raj, Col(retd) Mohan lal, Capt Moti Ram, Moti Ram Angral, Mohinder Kumar, Leela Chhetri, Rajni Sham lal Hans.
