Jammu June 11th: Mrs Bimla Luthra former MLA and State Vice President Women Wing addressed well attended women wing workers meeting in District Reasi the other day. The meeting was organized by Mrs Mohni Devi.
During the meeting workers raised the burning issues to Mrs Bimla Luthra about drinking water shortage, electricity cuts,the situation has become all the more critical with mercury breaching 43 degree Celsius.
After listening to the various public grievances patiently. Mrs Bimla Luthra assured the attendees that their concerns would be addressed on priority, and necessary steps would be taken to resolve the issues raised. She assured all of them that these genuine demands of the people personally discussed with concern cabinet ministers at top priority basis, she said
She highlighted key initiatives taken by the NC-led government within the first five months of its tenure, including free travel for women in government-operated buses, enhancement of marriage assistance from Rs 50,000 to Rs 75,000 for AAY families, provision of 200 units of free electricity per month for AAY households, and doubling of the monthly ration quota from 5 kg to 10 kg per person for AAY beneficiaries.
On this occasion Mrs Bimla Luthra nominated Office bearers of Women Wing in District Reasi. Mrs Mohni Devi has been nominated as District President Reasi Women wing, Mrs Raziya Bano as Vice President District Reasi Women Wing, Mrs Arshad Parvin as District Secretary Reasi Women wing and Mrs Nur Jahan as organizer District Reasi Women Wing.
Those who were present in the meeting included: Mr Tariq Bhutt, Mrs Sapna Gill, Mrs Madhu, Mrs Balwinder Kumar and others.
