Indore, Mar 06 : Indore, the commercial hub of Madhya Pradesh, is set to host the ET Make in India SME Regional Summit on March 13, 2026. The event will gather micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), business leaders, and policymakers to discuss strategies for growth, collaboration, and market expansion in the region.
MSME Landscape in Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh is home to over 2.4 million registered MSMEs, including 2.38 million micro, 19,588 small, and 1,189 medium enterprises, according to Udyam data. These businesses contribute nearly 30% to the state’s GDP and employ over 10 million people, with more than 2 lakh MSMEs based in Indore alone.
Indore: A Thriving Business Ecosystem
Indore’s robust industrial ecosystem spans pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, textiles, food processing, automobile components, and IT services. The city’s strategic infrastructure, logistics, and digital connectivity have fostered a business-friendly environment, while industrial clusters like the Pithampur Industrial Area, Sanwer Road Industrial Area, and Polo Ground Industrial Estate strengthen the MSME sector.
Summit Theme and Sessions
Themed “Industrial Powerhouse Indore: Driving MSME Growth Across Auto, Textiles, Pharma & Agro,” the summit will include keynote addresses, panel discussions, and fireside chats. Shankar Lalwani, Member of Parliament, Indore, will deliver the keynote.
Panel discussions will focus on topics such as “From ‘Mini Mumbai’ to Manufacturing Might: MSMEs Powering MP’s Growth Engine” with industry leaders including Gautam Kothari, Sachin Bansal, Yogesh Mehta, and Vinod Vyas. Fireside chats will explore strategic imperatives for MSMEs by IDBI Bank and the role of insurance solutions with New India Assurance. Mohit Jain, Co-founder & CEO of Kimirica, will share a business success story highlighting Central India’s emerging disruptors.

Regional Expansion
This is the third annual edition of the ET Make in India Regional Summit series. Previous editions covered Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Hyderabad, later expanding to 16 cities. The 2026 edition will span 20 cities, with the next stop scheduled for Dehradun on March 20.
The summit aims to provide MSMEs with a platform to network, showcase innovations, and explore opportunities to scale their businesses while contributing to regional and national economic growth.
