JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Tuesday refuted and slammed the statement made by NC Patron Farooq Abdullah, who claimed that India is passing through a bad phase due to the politics of polarization.

“India is not in a bad phase, rather it is Farooq Abdullah and his ilk who are struggling to remain relevant in a rapidly changing political landscape. The scrapping of Article 370 has brought about significant positive changes in the region, leading to unprecedented peace and development. The people are experiencing the benefits of these changes with tourism booming once again and development restoring pristine glory and sheen of J&K leaving those who thrived on divisive politics feeling threatened,” he said, adding that the NC leader’s unfounded statements are an attempt to mislead the public and create unnecessary fear.
“The politics of polarization that Abdullah is referring to is a figment of his imagination. The truth is that the BJP has always stood for the unity and integrity of the nation, and the present dispensation under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi is working tirelessly to ensure inclusive development for all”, he said while urging the people not to be swayed by such misleading rhetoric and to continue supporting the government’s efforts to bring prosperity and peace to every corner of the country especially in J and k
