Second Edition of the Handbook of the Department of Industries & Commerce was launched having all the details of the Manufacturing/ Service sector. Besides this, it also contains the Policies of the Government of India as well J&K UT regarding Industrial Sector for awareness amongst the budding Entrepreneurs/ Existing Industrial Enterprises.

During the programme, the Second Edition of the Handbook of the Department of Industries & Commerce was launched having all the details of the Manufacturing/ Service sector. Besides this, it also contains the Policies of the Government of India as well J&K UT regarding Industrial Sector for awareness amongst the budding Entrepreneurs/ Existing Industrial Enterprises. The Edition has been updated with all the Government Orders/ Circulars/ Orders/ Procedural Guidelines of the MSME sector (Manufacturing/ Service) which will be a guiding factor for all users. The Handbook was prepared under the overall guidance of Director, Industries & Commerce, Ms Anoo Malhotra, JKAS
Moreover, the e-book comprises of details of services provided by the District Industries Centre, Jammu which is of great help to budding as well as existing Entrepreneurs. It also contains activities such as Success Stories of MSME/ PMEGP Units in district Jammu, Check list/ Procedure for availing services and incentives under different schemes, details of Prime Ministers Employment Generation Programme, Udyam, GeM, TReDS Registrations, Progress and Achievements of DIC Jammu, visits of Hon’ble Ministers of India to different Industrial Estates under the jurisdiction of DIC Jammu, the inauguration of Jammu Haat-a platform for Entrepreneurs, Buyers, Sellers and Exporters, Swayam Rozgar Mela for on-spot registration of Beneficiaries under Prime Ministers Employment Generation Scheme, Export Oriented Units and One District One Product Programme so as to make the district as an Export Hub. Further, the QR Codes for various Social media pages of the Department have been provided for easy access.
