Federation of Industries, Jammu Raises Concerns Over Non-Functional Single Window System

FOIJ Flags Failure of Single Window System, Industries Hit by Renewal Bottlenecks

FOIJ Appeals for Interim Measures Amid Prolonged Single Window Outage

Jammu, 07-08-2025: The Federation of Industries, Jammu (FOIJ) has brought to the attention of the Govt of Jammu & Kashmir a pressing issue affecting the industrial sector in the region. The Single Window System, launched in February 2022 to facilitate Ease of Doing Business, has been nonfunctional for the past 2 and a half months.

This impacts the delayed renewal of Licenses which is hampering business operations and causing undue hardships to industrial units. Industries are struggling to comply with regulatory requirements due to the system’s downtime. New registrations and approvals are being delayed, affecting business growth and investment in the region.

The Chairman, FOIJ Sh. Virendra Jain, has requested to the Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir to allow acceptance of the Govt. Treasury Receipts for payment of fees and dues, and also physical filing of documents and applications, and processing thereof to facilitate compliance and avoid further delays until the Single Window System is fully restored.

The Non-functional Single Window System is a significant setback for our industries. We urge the Govt to resolve this issue on priority and ensure the system’s functionality to facilitate Ease of Doing Business in Jammu&Kashmir. In the meantime, allowing the Govt. Treasury receipts and physical filing of documents will provide much-needed relief to industries. The Chairman, FOIJ, has requested the Govt of Jammu & Kashmir to take immediate action to restore the Single Window System and ensure its functionality to avoid further disruptions to businesses in the region.

The Federation of Industries, Jammu, is committed to working with the Government. to resolve this issue and promote the growth of the industries in Jammu & Kashmir.
