Jammu, Feb 1: Ahead of the forthcoming Budget Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, the government has directed the Finance Department and all Heads of Departments under its administrative control to remain operational on January 31 and February 1, including the weekend.
An official order issued by the Finance Department said the move aims to streamline budget-related work and ensure timely clearance of official matters before the session begins.
The directive, issued under Office Order No. 21-FD of 2026 and dated January 30, has been signed by Under Secretary to the Government Vishal Kumar, JKAS.
Departments have been instructed to maintain full attendance and efficient functioning during the specified days to meet all requirements linked to the Budget Session, the order stated.
