FIR Lodged Against Influencer Orhan Awatramani (Orry) and Seven Others for Consuming Alcohol Near Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra

Jammu, March 17: A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, and seven others for allegedly consuming alcohol at a hotel in Katra, the base camp of the revered Mata Vaishno Devi shrine.

According to official police sources, the FIR was registered after reports surfaced that Orry and his associates were consuming alcohol at a hotel in the holy town, an act considered inappropriate and offensive given the religious and spiritual significance of the location. Katra, being the gateway to one of India’s most sacred pilgrimage sites, follows strict regulations to uphold the sanctity of the place.

Authorities have taken serious note of the incident, emphasizing that strict action will be taken against any individual violating the norms and sanctity of religious places. This development has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many condemning the alleged actions of the group, citing disrespect toward religious sentiments.

Further investigations are underway, and the police have assured that legal proceedings will follow as per the provisions of law.
