LATUR (MAHARASHTRA), Aug 22: Police in Latur district have registered a case against Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) convenor Abhijeet Dipke and several others for allegedly entering a government school without permission, interfering with official duties and threatening teachers.
The case was registered at Ausa police station following a complaint by Sayyed Shamshadbano Khairatali, 53, a teacher at a Zilla Parishad Urdu school.
Dipke has been visiting government schools across central Maharashtra’s Latur district under the CJP’s ongoing ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign, aimed at drawing attention to issues affecting public education.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred at the ZP Urdu School in Jawali near Ausa, located more than 500 km from Mumbai.
The complainant alleged that Dipke and his associates entered the school premises without obtaining permission and sat among the students while questioning them. Their actions allegedly disrupted the functioning of the school and interfered with educational and government work.
The complaint further stated that Dipke recorded the proceedings during his visit and subsequently shared the footage on social media.
The teacher also alleged that the CJP convenor made statements that damaged the school’s reputation, including a claim that students from another school had been brought in and seated in the classrooms during his visit.
According to the complaint, Dipke also threatened to have teachers suspended over the alleged irregularities.
Police have registered the case under Sections 132, 329(3), 351(2) and 356(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The sections relate to alleged use of force or obstruction against a public servant, house trespass, criminal intimidation and criminal defamation.
The allegations are part of the complaint and have not been independently established.
Police said further investigation into the matter was underway.
