India, July 11, 2026: Petrol, Diesel and CNG Rates Remain Steady Across India
Consumers received some relief on July 11, 2026, as petrol, diesel and CNG prices remained unchanged across major Indian cities. Public sector oil marketing companies (OMCs) continued with existing retail fuel rates during the daily price revision carried out at 6:00 am, indicating stability in the domestic market despite fluctuations in international crude oil prices.
The decision to keep retail prices unchanged comes at a time when global energy markets remain cautious due to continuing geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East. Although crude oil prices witnessed a slight increase in international trading, the movement has not yet prompted any immediate revision in domestic fuel prices.
International Crude Oil Holds Firm
Global crude oil prices remained relatively stable after fresh reports of airstrikes in Iran created concerns about regional security. Brent crude, the global benchmark for oil, traded around 76.47 US dollars per barrel, registering only a marginal increase from the previous session.
Energy analysts noted that the biggest concern for global markets continues to be the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s busiest oil shipping routes. Any disruption in tanker movement through the strategic waterway could impact crude supplies to several countries, potentially pushing oil prices higher in the coming weeks.
Despite these concerns, international prices remain well below the highs witnessed during the peak of the recent regional conflict, allowing Indian fuel retailers to maintain current pricing.

Earlier Fuel Price Revision
Retail prices of petrol and diesel had witnessed a significant increase during the recent escalation in crude oil prices triggered by geopolitical tensions in West Asia. Oil marketing companies had raised pump prices by nearly ₹7.50 per litre, reflecting the sharp rise in global crude costs.
Since then, international oil prices have moderated, helping stabilize domestic retail fuel prices.
Export Duty on Petroleum Products
In its latest fortnightly review, the Central Government revised export duties on select petroleum products.
The export duty on diesel was increased to ₹14 per litre, while the levy on aviation turbine fuel (ATF) was raised to ₹12.50 per litre. However, the export duty on petrol remained unchanged at ₹1.50 per litre.
The revised duty structure is aimed at balancing domestic availability while ensuring adequate supplies within the country.
LPG Prices Continue at Higher Levels
Domestic cooking gas prices remain elevated following recent revisions implemented in June.
The price of a standard 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi currently stands at ₹942, reflecting an increase of ₹29 introduced last month.
Commercial LPG users also continue to bear higher costs after the price of a 19-kg cylinder was raised by ₹42, taking its retail price in Delhi to ₹3,113.50.
Consumers Advised to Check Local Rates
Although national oil marketing companies announce prices daily, retail fuel rates differ from one city to another due to variations in state taxes, local levies and transportation charges. Consumers are therefore advised to verify the latest rates in their respective cities before refuelling.
For now, motorists across the country can expect stable fuel prices as long as international crude oil markets remain relatively balanced. However, energy experts believe that any major disruption in global crude supplies could once again influence domestic fuel pricing in the coming weeks.
