Hotels Fail to Report Foreign Guests, FIRs Registered Under Immigration and Foreigners Act

Ganderbal, Oct 24: In a strict enforcement action, Ganderbal Police have booked three hotels in Sonamarg for failing to comply with the Immigration and Foreigners Act by not submitting details of foreign tourists to the Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) within the prescribed time.

The move, carried out under the supervision of SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal (JKPS), followed a comprehensive inspection drive in the popular tourist area.

The hotels   Mount View, Imperial Resort, and Village Walk  were found accommodating foreign nationals without timely reporting their information to authorities, as mandated under Section 17 of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.
