28-03-2022: Govt. Degree College Dudu Basantgarh, under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, organised Symposium on the theme “Cyber Security in Public Transport in Smart Cities“. The programme was organised to implement the Scheme, “Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (14C)”
Through their knowledge about the topic, they informed the students to beware of fraudulent calls, messages, emails and various public transport Apps and Cites.
A large number of students actively participated in the symposium. All the participants put forth certain important information and knowledge about cyber security as well as cybercrime. They mentioned that the whole world has been governed by the internet and technology, therefore it becomes our responsibility to utilise the internet with utmost care and protection. Through their knowledge about the topic, they informed the students to beware of fraudulent calls, messages, emails and various public transport Apps and Cites. On the basis of quality and delivery of the content, Surjeet Kumar of Sem-5th clinched 1st position, Varinder Singh of Sem-5th stood 2nd, and Palma Devi of Sem-3rd secured 3rd position.
The programme was conducted under the able guidance of worthy Principal Dr Bhavnaish Chand who laid emphasis on the importance of cyber security in a techno-savvy world. While speaking about the threats posed by hackers, he advised the students to make proper use of the internet while travelling in public transport and making virtual payments.
The programme was concluded with the final remarks of Prof. Vijay Kumar who motivated the students to take part in such activities so that they can conquer stage fright as well as boost their morale to tackle future challenges. Prof. Pradeep Kumar Kundal, Dr PP Singh and Prof. Aastha Gupta acted as jury members. The other staff members presented on the occasion were Prof. Nazir Ahmad Khan, Dr. Mudasir Ahmad and Dr. Ravi Kumar.
