02-10-2021 Government Degree College Dudu BasantGarh organized an online poster making and slogan writing competition on Gandhi Jayanti on the theme ‘Use of Swadeshi products’ “under Atam Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan”. In this competition, students showcased their talent through their posters and slogans writing that if we use Swadeshi products in our daily life and boycott the foreign products we can raise the economy of the country. The idea of the Swadeshi movement launched by Gandhiji was also the part of Indian Independence movement and contributed to the development of Indian nationalism.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College Dr. Bhavnaish Chand said that eliminating the use of imported products and substituting them with Swadeshi products will transform India and can provide a livelihood to lakhs of people to make India a better place. We will have to go Vocal for local by promotion, adoption of goods by Indian origin companies and it would be our contribution to make India a Self-reliant. We cannot be Aaatmnirbhar by the efforts of some of us, instead, it needs the contribution from one and all. In this competition Nusrat Toiba of B. A sem. 4th of host college got 1st position while Palma Devi of Sem. 2nd and Gulshan Ara of BA sem 1st of GDC Dudu Basantgarh shared IInd position and Kiran Bharadwaj of Sem. 6th of GDC Ramnagar clinched 3rd position. E certificates were given to all the winners. The principal of the college congratulated the winner of the competition.
