31-05-2022 : NSS Unit of Govt Degree College Ramnagar in collaboration with Live For Others-Being Helpful Foundation (NGO)organizes two Days’ workshop on the topic Mensuration: A Taboo in society w.e.f 30-05-22 to 31-05-22 under the able patron ship of DR UdheyBhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar. The workshop was conducted to create the awareness related menstrual cycle and to break the ice over this sensitive issue.
On Day 1, an intercollege poster making competition was held. Devankshi of B.Sc VI stood first, Priyanka Sharma of B.Sc VI stood second and Semrin of B.Sc II stood third.
On Day 2, a symposium was held on the same topic. DR UdheyBhanu, Princpal of the college gave the inaugural address. Then, Dr MadhuBala, Health Department was the resource person. She spoke on the topic Menstrual Hygiene in detail giving every detailed medical and scientific facts. Then, students delivered their views and Pritam Kumar of BA sem VI stood first, Manisha of B.Sc VI stood second and Sukeerti and Sneha Thakur, B.Sc IV stood Third. Prof Brinder Kumar, HOD Zoology and Prof HarmeetKour, HOD Botany acted as the judges for the symposium.
Mr VivekParihar, Director, Live For Others Foundation congratulated the winners. Prof Ritika Mahajan, NSS PO of the college delivered the vote of thanks. Prof Swarna Devi, Prof Shobha Rani and Prof DivyaPuri were also present and felicitated the event.
