Mumbai, Dec 29 : The makers of Border 2 released the much-awaited teaser of the song Ghar Kab Aaoge on Monday, generating excitement among fans of the original classic.
Building on the legacy of the 1999 war drama Border, which featured the beloved song Sandese Aate Hai sung by Sonu Nigam and Roopkumar Rathod with lyrics by Javed Akhtar, the remake honors its predecessor while introducing a fresh musical touch. The new version brings together top voices including Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh, with music composed by Anu Malik and Mithoon and lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla.
Sharing the teaser on Instagram, the makers called it “the greatest musical collaboration in the history of Indian cinema, bringing back an iconic song across generations,” and announced that the full song will release on January 2, 2026.
The grand launch event will be held at Longewala-Tanot in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, ahead of the film’s theatrical release. Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, and Anya Singh.
Presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with JP Dutta’s JP Films, and backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, the movie is slated to hit cinemas on January 23, 2026.
