Srinagar, Apr 26: Former Chief Minister of J&K and Chairman Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday condemned the attack on Chhattisgarh Police.

He added that he was anguished by the cowardly attack on the Chhattisgarh Police at Dantewada.

Azad has paid rich tributes to those killed in this attack and said that their sacrifices will be remembered.

“I strongly condemn the attack and pay rich tributes to policemen martyred in this incident. Their sacrifices for the country will be always remembered. My prayers and thoughts are with bereaved families,” Azad said.

At least 10 police personnel and a driver were killed in an IED blast triggered by Naxalites in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district on Wednesday. The incident took place under Aranpur police station limits when a team of the state police’s District Reserve Guard (DRG) was returning after an anti-Naxalite operation.
