Govt. Degree College Dudu Basantgarh organise Essay Writing Competition on the theme “Make Elections Inclusive, Accessible and  Participative”

25-01-2022: Govt. Degree College Dudu Basantgarh, under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, organized Essay Writing Competition on the theme “Make Elections Inclusive, Accessible and  Participative”. Many students took part in the competition and tried to convey a strong message by writing different types of messages through their essays: “My vote, My right”, “Your one vote has the power to build a New India”, We all citizens of India must vote for our nation” etc. Through their essays, students of the college laid emphasis on the significance of a vote. They also requested their peers and general masses to encourage more and more voters to take part in the political process of Nation building.

On the basis of the best essay, Surjeet Kumar (Sem-3rd) secured the first position whereas Rabia Sultan  (Sem-5th) and Arti Devi (Sem-2nd) got the Second and Third positions respectively.

While reflecting on the theme of National Voter’s Day, the worthy principal of the college Dr. Bhavnaish Chand Anthal also threw light on the significance of casting vote. He further directed and advised the students to encourage the people in their vicinity to participate in the process of elections. In order to make the process of election inclusive, accessible, and participatory everyone has to shoulder the responsibility of making people aware about the value of their votes.

Under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. Bhavnaish Chand the competition was successfully organized by Prof. Vijay Kumar(organizing secretary) and Prof. Rahul Sharma and Prof. Pradeep Kumar  kundal coordinate the competition
