Udhampur, 13 August 2022 : Govt. Degree College Dudu Basantgarh under the aegis of Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan organized Tiranga Rally and Poster Making Competition. Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan is a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative undertaken by the Government of Indian to celebrate 75 years of Independence.
All the students and staff members of the college took part in the rally. The rally started from the premises of the college building and covered more than 5 kilometers distance. The students, with full of exuberance and exhalation, marched on the Shivgali-Basantgarh road amidst raising slogans about the freedom fighters as well as the independence itself such as Vande Matram, Inquilab Zindabad, East or West India is Best etc. The students also participated in the Poster Makingt Competition on har ghar tiranga. While addressing the students, worthy principal of the college Dr Bhavnaish Chand appreciated the efforts of the students and also the staff members for organizing such a nationally important events to commemorate the independence as well as our heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the nation. On the basis of the judgment of the jury members Surjeet Kumar of Sem-4th got the first position whereas Nusrat Toiba of Sem-6th and Manisha Devi of Sem-2nd shared 2nd and 3rd position, respectively.
Prof Rahul Sharma, Prof Pradeep Kumar Kundal, Prof Vijay Kumar and Dr PP Singh participated in the rally. The program was organized under the supervision of the convener of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Prof Vijay Kumar.
